Monk sets - What sets U use..!
which sets u use in PVE/PVP pls post them here and any sort of info why
u use them/where.
in my case, I mostly use:
1)heavy armor set.
2)40^40 set.
3)and high energy staff with a +15e/-1 insc and +5e head.
4)low enrgy set include shield.
otherwise, I like to use:
1)heavy armor set.
2)40^40 set.
3) +20e staff.
4) +60hp staff.
I would like to hear ur opinion about the sets and what u use offen.

1) +5e, +30hp spear & +10al vs X, +30hp shield
2) 20/20 wand & 20/20 offhand (healing)
3) 20/20/20 +20% enchants staff (prot)
4) +15/-1 wand & +15/-1 offhand (divine)
... with a bunch more shields and a -5e sword in my bag.
Nothing else compares.
Your sets are bad, high-energy/high-health staves are near enough useless.

I don't weaponswap in PvE, partially because I'm not really good at it (I always end up sitting on my shield set, never drawing out my enchanting or healing set), and partially because I don't bother getting better.
I usually just run around on a Khepkehts refuge, since it's got more or less all of the basics covered. +20% enchanting, HCT/HSR.
The times I do make a PvP character for monking, I pull out all the "required" weaponsets, but as I said, I always end up sitting on a single one.

You still get HCT and HRT, just only 20/20 instead of 40/40.
And attributes are also needed for the +12 on the focus.

sweet.
but I still heard from few monks that +60hp set is usefull as well as +20e staff.
|+60hp/while hexed is awsome thing to put on a wep set, for large hexes pressure.
I quite sure that +30hp,+60hp,and any armor addition while hexed is good as a set.

+60/hex is good against degen, if you're not being wanded too.
It leaves you with 1hp left when the hex ends. :>

Does anyone use a +30 hp for their high energy focus? For GvG I usually go 20/20 in my high set but there have been times in arenas when I need to get a cast off but if I switch out of my shield set I'll be at 1hp and degen to death. Without a second healer you can't really kite away from that sort of situation. There have been a couple times that I've switched to my high energy set to cast even when I had the energy to cast in my efficiency set for this reason.
It doesn't come up often, and even less since I switched to +5 instead of -5 on my defensive set. Still theres a small gap in energy from your shield and efficiency sets that might hurt if you can't take the -60 health. Though most of the time you're dead in that situation anyways, and you run the risk of dying in your high set. Guess the solution is to not be bad, but I'd like to hear what other people think.

What does HCT and HRT mean?
And for a new player (Level 12) looking to only use one set in PvE at this point in time, that is going to use a hybrid bar mostly (12 Heal/10 Prot/8 Div) which set would prove the most useful?

HCT is Half Casting Time
HRT is Half Recharge Time
If I'm being lazy I tend to idle in my prot staff. Which is 40 HCT/20HRT/20 enchant. Since you only have 2 or 3(cure hex) healing spells on your bar I think the prot staff gets you further. I would definitely also get a defensive set as well even if you don't plan to swap very often. You might find yourself using it more than you think.

I assume a defensive set would be line item #1 in Stormlord Alex's post? +HP/+Armor items?

Thats correct. +30hp +5 energy spear, +30hp +10AL Shield.
Most people have one shield for every type of damage. If you're just going with one get a +10 vs Slashing inscription IMO.

I have this, except for high set, I have a 15/-1 10% HCT wand (probably the only one in the game) and 15/-1 +30 req8divine offhand (the req is good if I ever want to go 14-9-8-8 spec). I argue for the HCT because to me, it's much more vital at clutch moments to get the fast aegis or not to be pleaked on WoH. Also, I rather have the +30 health for the additional ability to switch up to cast a spell when I'm at low health. There are countless times when I was at 10 health on shield set, and couldn't switch up. Similarly, there are just as many times where I had 50 health on shield set and I'm glad I could switch to high set to cast without suiciding myself.
Obviously, the inscribable weapons only allow you to craft 15/-1 and 10% HSR or 20% attribute HSR, so most people don't have the burden of deciding
